Chances are Realty LLC First Annual Scholarship Fund Name: Chances are Realty LLC Annual Scholarship Fund Deadline: April 30, 2017 Subject Areas: Any Level: Undergraduate Restrictions: Must be a Prince George’s County Public School graduating senior. Must submit essay by the deadline, no exceptions. Award Information: Chances are Realty LLC is committed to giving back to the community. The Chances are Realty Scholarship Committee will select one Prince George’s County Public School student to receive a $1,000 scholarship award. The goal is to acknowledge the community service efforts of students who go above and beyond the community service required for graduation. The scholarship is to be used toward further education in any accredited trade school, community college, or university during the 2017-2018 academic year. One winner will be chosen on May 10, 2017. Funds will be sent directly to the attending college once proof of registration is received. If the student is not registered by 6/15/17 another will be chosen to receive the award. Requirements: In order to be eligible to be considered for the Chances are Realty LLC Scholarship, the applicant must be a Prince George’s County graduating high school senior. They must have demonstrated leadership abilities through participation in community service. Eligible applicants must submit a two-page written essay, one letter of recommendation, and acceptance letter from the university or college. Criteria for the Essay: The essay must consist of a maximum of two pages (minimum one page) on the positive impact they have had on their community and how a college degree can be used to help further their community outreach efforts or address social problems. Essay must be typed and double spaced. Please include your first and last name, high school you currently attend and college or university you plan to attend.
